Farmers from Six States Discuss Issues with Rahul Gandhi at Parliament House
New Delhi, 24th July 2024: A delegation of farmer leaders from Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka met with the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, at the Parliament House complex on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, to discuss the challenges faced by farmers.
Congress general secretary K.C. Venugopal, former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, Punjab Congress chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, and Congress leaders Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Gurjeet Singh Aujla, Dharamvir Gandhi, Amar Singh, Deepender Singh Hooda, and Jai Prakash also attended the meeting.
The delegation included 12 farmer leaders from the aforementioned states.
According to sources, the farmers detailed the specific issues they were encountering in their respective regions to Gandhi.
