Case Of Molestation Filed Against Jitendra Awhad
Thane, 14th November 2022: Former state minister and MLA Jitendra Awhad was arrested and released on bail on Sunday for stopping the show of the film ‘Har Har Mahadev’ and beating up the audience. But now, a case under section 354 has been registered against Awhad. A molestation case has been registered against Awhad, and the supporters of NCP have tried to set fire to many places in Thane city and create obstruction in the traffic. Awhad has also taken an aggressive stance and announced his resignation from MLA.
A case under Section 354 of IPC has been registered against Awhad. A case is registered under this section against those who commit sexual abuse, beating or acts that hurt the self-esteem of women. After a case was registered under this section, tension has been created in Thane since this morning and an attempt was made to create a traffic jam by throwing burnt tires on the road in front of Awhad’s house near Viviana Mall.
“Police registered two false cases against me in 72 hours, and that too 354… I will fight against this police tyranny… I am deciding to resign from my MLA… Can’t watch the killing of democracy with naked eyes,” tweeted Awhad.
