Delhi Train Alert: Mail and Express Services to Be Cancelled on October 10 Amid Traffic Congestion

New Delhi, 9th October 2026: Several Mail and Express trains scheduled to reach New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin railway stations between 4 am and 2 pm on October 10 will be cancelled at their originating stations due to anticipated severe road traffic congestion around the two stations.

According to the railway communication dated October 9, the cancellations will apply to Mail and Express trains that depart from their originating stations after 2 pm on October 9 and are scheduled to arrive at New Delhi or Hazrat Nizamuddin between 4 am and 2 pm on October 10.

The decision has been taken in view of the expected traffic congestion in the areas surrounding New Delhi Railway Station and Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station on Saturday.

The affected trains will be cancelled at their source stations. The communication does not list individual train numbers or provide details of alternative services.
