Congress Appoints Mithendra Singh as MP Youth Congress President Before Lok Sabha Elections

Pune/Gwalior, 9 April, 2024: Following Vikrant Bhuria’s resignation, Mithendra Singh has been appointed the new President of the Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress, which is a significant development ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. Mithendra’s appointment was made official immediately by Indian Youth Congress National Vice President Shreenivas B.V.

Mithendra Singh, son of Darshan Singh, former President of Gwalior Congress, currently holds the position of National Secretary of the Youth Congress. With a background in Law and Business Studies, he has previously served as the President of Gwalior Youth Congress and has experience in modeling and motivational speaking.

Among Mithendra’s accomplishments within the Congress party is his 2017 term as the Youth Congress District President in Gwalior. In 2018, he participated in the campaign trail for the Mungaoli Assembly Constituency by-election in Madhya Pradesh. Mithendra oversaw the 2019 Haryana Legislative Assembly Elections in addition to the elections for the Badaun Lok Sabha Constituency (UP), the Pathankot and Gurdaspur Lok Sabha Constituencies (Punjab), and other constituencies. Upon being appointed the Indian Youth Congress’s National Secretary in 2020, he assumed control of both Uttar Pradesh and Eastern Uttar Pradesh. In the years that followed, he was assigned positions of responsibility in the Indian Youth Congress state chapters in Rajasthan and Maharashtra.

Vikrant Bhuria resigned as President of the Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress due to his commitment to seeing the Congress party win the Ratlam-Jhabua Lok Sabha seat, which was his father Kantilal Bhuria’s constituency. Bhuria submitted his resignation to Youth Congress National Vice President Shreenivas B.V. along with his wish for a new leader to take over. As a result, Mithendra Singh was appointed.
