Wanted To Resolve Dispute Peacefully: President Putin’s Address To Russian Parliament
Moscow, 21st February 2023: A few days before the first anniversary of Russia’s attack on Ukraine, US President Joe Biden suddenly arrived in Kyiv. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin gave a speech in the Russian Parliament. In this, he made many big statements regarding the war with Ukraine.
Addressing Russia’s parliament, Putin said, “We were making every effort to resolve this problem peacefully, negotiating this difficult conflict peacefully, but behind our backs, a very different atmosphere was created. We defend our interest and position that there should be no division between civilized countries and the rest.”
Putin claimed in his speech that Kyiv had negotiated with the West over arms supplies from the military operation. “The West has cynically betrayed its people,” he said.
