Pune: Central Government’s ‘Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ to Unveil Grassroots Initiatives
Pune, 27th November 2023: The Central Government is set to launch the ‘Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ from November 28, 2023, to January 26, 2024, as part of an initiative to bring its schemes to the grassroots level and enhance awareness. The yatra, spanning 125 locations in Pune city, will utilize an IEC Van provided by the Central Government for this purpose.
The Pune Municipal Corporation inaugurated and launched the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. Over the next two months, the IEC Van will conduct various activities at 125 locations in Pune City, aiming to connect with the community, raise public awareness, engage with beneficiaries, and register new beneficiaries. The van will make stops at each location for approximately three hours. Pune Municipal Corporation encourages the citizens of Pune to participate in the Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and avail themselves of the central government schemes.
The key focuses of the yatra include:
1. PM Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi): Registering new applications under PMSwanidhi, disbursing pending loan cases with the assistance of banks, conducting social and economic profiling of street vendors through camps under Swanidhi se Samrudhi, and delivering the benefits of this scheme.
2. Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana: Providing free new LPG gas connections to women from economically disadvantaged families under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
3. Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana: Offering free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh in government and private hospitals for beneficiaries from economically challenged families. Providing life expectancy cards to eligible beneficiaries.
4. Aadhaar Card: Recognizing the importance of Aadhaar as an essential identity card, the yatra will assist urban residents in Aadhaar card repairs, Aadhaar updates, and other related services.
