Delhi CM Kejriwal Resolute in Face of Legal Directive, Emphasizes Commitment to Public Welfare

New Delhi, 31st May 2024: Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi’s Chief Minister, reiterated his commitment to justice and the welfare of the people as he prepared to comply with the Supreme Court’s directive regarding the Delhi liquor policy case. Kejriwal, speaking at a press conference today, expressed his willingness to surrender, emphasizing his resolve in the face of adversity.

Acknowledging the toll his recent imprisonment has taken on his health, Kejriwal disclosed his significant weight loss and ongoing health concerns, including difficulties accessing medication for diabetes. Despite these challenges, he assured the public that his dedication to serving Delhi remains steadfast.

Highlighting the continuation of essential services such as free electricity, healthcare through Mohalla clinics, and hospitals, provision of free medicines, and women’s free bus travel, Kejriwal assured the citizens that their welfare remains a top priority, even in his absence.

In an emotional appeal, Kejriwal urged the public to remember his elderly parents in their prayers, underscoring their vulnerability and need for support.

Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest on charges related to the Delhi liquor policy stirred controversy, with allegations of corruption and political motives. Both Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have vehemently denied the accusations, labelling them as politically motivated vendettas. This development has sparked a political skirmish between the ruling BJP and the opposition INDIA bloc, further complicating the scenario ahead of upcoming elections.
