BJP Is Not A Party That Supports Brother-In-Law: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Takes Jab At Congress
New Delhi, 10th February 2023: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman responded to the discussion on the Budget 2023-24 in the Lok Sabha on Friday. During this, she said that the Union Budget wonderfully balances the need for India’s development imperatives within the limits of fiscal prudence. She said that the Indian economy is a fast-growing economy.
She said, “Simply put, the Budget 2023-24 wonderfully balances the need for India’s development imperatives within the limits of fiscal prudence. It is a very delicate balancing strategy.”
Nirmala Sitharaman said that all resources are being transferred to the states; that is, the central share from taxes and the release under centrally sponsored schemes is estimated to be 17.98 lakh crore in total. This is 1.55 lakh crore more than last year.
Targeting Congress, the Finance Minister said, “We do not make policies keeping in mind any one person but keeping everyone in mind. We are not a party supporting Jija and Bhatija. This is the culture of Congress.”
The Finance Minister said that Gaurav Gogoi should ask the Himachal government why it increased VAT on diesel by Rs three immediately after winning the election. The culture of Congress is to shout and walk out instead of first making allegations and listening to answers. Even now, see. They are shouting when the truth is revealed,” she said.
