Bihar: Chinese Woman Arrested In Gaya For Spying On Dalai Lama

Gaya, 29th December 2022: Today (December 29) in the Gaya region of Bihar, authorities detained a Chinese woman who was allegedly spying on Dalai Lama. She will probably be sent back to China.

Local police issued a security warning earlier today since Dalai Lama is set to take part in multiple events in the Bihar district. Authorities asked locals to offer information on Song Xiaolan after releasing sketches of the alleged Chinese spy and circulating them on social media.
Information indicates that the alleged Chinese spy had resided in several locations around the nation for more than a year, including Bodh Gaya. However, there is no documentation of the Chinese woman’s stay.

This year, Dalai Lama resumed his yearly trip to Bodh Gaya, which had been put on hold for the previous two years owing to the avian flu pandemic. Security has been increased around the area surrounding and inside the Mahabodhi Temple Complex has been made more secure.
