Badaun Double Murder Case: Mother Approves Police Action in Sajid Encounter
Badaun, March 20, 2024 – In a tragic incident in Badaun’s Baba Colony, communal tension erupted after a Muslim barber, Sajid, entered a Hindu family’s home and fatally attacked two children with a knife and razor on Tuesday evening. This led to public outrage, with vandalism and arson reported in the area. Police swiftly intervened, and forces from multiple stations were deployed to restore order.
The incident occurred when contractor Vinod Singh Mohammadi was away from home, working on a water tank construction project. Sajid, who operated a salon nearby, abruptly closed his shop and visited Vinod’s house, where the gruesome attack took place. Sajid’s mother, acknowledging her son’s wrongdoing, agreed with the police’s actions, as they encountered Sajid following the incident.
According to police reports, Sajid’s brother, Javed, who allegedly aided in the crime by guarding the door, remains at large. However, police have apprehended Sajid’s father, Babu, and uncle for interrogation. Efforts are underway to apprehend Javed, with multiple teams deployed for the search.
