All-Party Delegation to Meet Governor Over Beed Murder, Demands Minister Munde’s Dismissal

Mumbai, 6th January 2025: A delegation comprising representatives from all political parties, led by former MP Sambhaji Raje, will meet Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan on Monday to raise concerns over the escalating law and order situation in Beed district, particularly in the wake of the brutal murder of Massajog sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh. The delegation will also call for the dismissal of Food and Civil Supplies Minister Dhananjay Munde, according to Leader of Opposition Ambadas Danve.

The murder has sparked a wave of allegations, with several legislators claiming that the main accused, Beed strongman Valmik Karad, has close ties to Munde. Raje, who has been vocal about this issue, has been calling for Munde’s removal from the state cabinet ever since the tragic incident. Local BJP legislator Suresh Dhas, who raised the matter during the winter session of the state legislature, has supported the demand for Munde’s ouster and is expected to join the delegation.

This call for dismissal is not only coming from opposition members but also from within Munde’s own party. BJP MLA Prakash Solanke, along with NCP (SP) leaders Jitendra Awhad and Sandeep Kshirsagar, have also echoed similar demands for Munde’s resignation over the allegations.
